Founded by The Sutton Trust, the EEF Teaching and Learning Toolkit provides a summary of education research, and offers guidance for teachers and schools on how to use resources to help pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds improve their attainment. The Toolkit covers 34 topics, detailing for each the average impact on attainment, the strength of the evidence supporting them, and their cost.

The Toolkit is a live resource that is updated regularly as findings from EEF-funded projects and other research becomes available.

In listing research, EdCentral makes no judgment or recommendation as to its quality, validity or methodology and none should be inferred. Through peer ratings left by education practitioners, EdCentral’s aim is to support the development of a repository of shared knowledge and experience.
